Eyetalk Consultants was started by two well-known identities in the Australian ophthalmic industry :

• Margaret McCann has a wide range of experience in Australian optics. She has worked in the ophthalmic supply industry for Bausch & Lomb and CIBA Vision; with the management of several independent optometry practices; and for a company which supplied optometric practice management software.
  
  

• Tony Hanks is an optometrist who has conducted a number of successful private practices in Australia; as well as being involved in contact lens research both here and in the United States.
