Kering Extends Distribution Partnership with Sunshades Eyewear Through 2027
Kering Eyewear has confirmed it will continue working with Sunshades Eyewear as its exclusive
distribution partner for Australia and New Zealand through to June 2027, extending the
collaboration by an additional two years beyond the initially planned handover in June 2025.
This extension reinforces the trust and confidence Kering places in Sunshades' expertise,
operational excellence, and commitment to delivering outstanding results. With a world-class
full-service model that encompasses exceptional key account management, strong field team
coverage, and impressive growth - supported by best-in-class planning, supply chain, stock fill
rate and logistics - Sunshades has proven itself as an invaluable partner.
Rodney Grunseit, CEO of Sunshades Eyewear, expressed his pride in the ongoing partnership,
stating, “We are proud of what we’ve built together, and Kering’s continued confidence in our
team and operations speaks volumes. This milestone is a testament to our collective effort,
passion, and commitment to driving growth. Sunshades remains dedicated to elevating the
eyewear industry in Australia, New Zealand, and beyond.”
At the heart of this extended partnership is Sunshades' world-class distribution infrastructure,
which ensures premium service delivery and market expansion across its portfolio. Sunshades
represent some of the most sought-after luxury eyewear brands, including Cartier, Gucci, Saint
Laurent, Chloé, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alaïa, and Alexander McQueen, reinforcing its
position as the home of the best eyewear brands in the region.
Beyond luxury, Sunshades also champions Australian-owned brands achieving outstanding
results on both local and international stages. Le Specs, a global cult eyewear brand, is stocked
in over 50 countries, Oroton continues to be the darling of Australian fashion, and Luv Lou is a
fast-rising newcomer making waves worldwide. With a portfolio that seamlessly blends prestige,
innovation, and heritage, Sunshades is setting the benchmark for eyewear distribution.
